Gulf Radio is the result of a simple thought of making use of the largest social media platform for some creative, informative purpose which was hitherto deemed to be an entertainment avenue. In a country like the Sultanate of Oman where Malayalam radio channel is still a dream fostered the dream of a WhatsApp radio channel and there took birth the first WhatsApp radio channel- Gulf Radio. Started broadcasting daily news bulletin in Malayalam on January 1, 2016 with just three groups and 250 members, the Gulf Radio network today covers more than 4,000 members spread along 21 main groups and many tens of thousands of listeners across the continents.
